Veronica, aka "Ronnie" and "V-Ron," is our pick puppy from the Moonsetter V-Litter. Our third attempt at getting a girl from a litter, we were blessed with not just one, but five to choose from! We'd like to say she was a standout from the beginning, but with five lovely girls in her litter, the decision wasn't an easy one! In the end, we chose Ronnie for her stunning head, excellent bone, and overall balance (not to mention a very "big" personality!).
Veronica's show career didn't start until the fall of 2021, where she competed in a few small shows to earn her first points, including a Best of Breed win from the classes. A few months later she was shown at the 2022 GSCA National Specialty, where she won the Bred-by Exhibitor class. The next weekend was our biggest show of the year with 5 shows in 4 days, including the North Country Gordon Setter Specialty. Veronica took home Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite at the 3 all-breed shows leading up to the Specialty for 3 majors, and finished her Championship going Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best Bred-by at the Specialty for her 4th major!
Ronnie ended 2022 as the #3 Owner-Handled Gordon Setter (and the #1 bitch), winning multiple Best of Breed wins and an Owner-Handled Group 1 during our National Specialty weekend. Veronica finished her Grand Championship in 2023, just a few months after a litter. She is currently working toward her Grand Champion Bronze title before she has her third and final litter next year.
Ronnie is OFA Good (hips), Elbows Normal, RCD4 Clear, Eyes Normal, and CCA Clear (CHIC #175456). Veronica is the dam of the Moonsetter "Y" and "Bridgerton" Litters.
