Rowan, aka Row, Ro-Ro, and Rowy, is the pick puppy from the Herbs & Spices Litter. We chose Rowan for her sweet temperament and soft expression, strong topline, beautiful bone, and balanced angulation. Without a doubt, Rowan has one of the best personalities of any Gordon we've had. Rowan's sire, Wally, has an impressive pedigree of Scottish and European Gordon Setters. We fell in love with Wally at a show in 2022, and were thrilled with the opportunity to use him over Waverly to produce this exceptional litter.
At Rowan's first "official" show weekend, she earned Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes to her uncle, Theo, and Reserve Winners Bitch to a major from the Bred-by puppy class. At Rowan's second Specialty, she went Winners Bitch/Best of Winners and Best of Opposite over specials for a 5 point major, and another Best of Opposite in Sweeps, at 12 months old!
Rowan finished her Championship at 17 months of age, going Best of Breed over specials twice, for 2 more majors. During her first show weekend as a Champion, she earned a specialty Select Bitch behind her mama Wave, who was Best of Opposite. A few months later, Rowan completed her Grand Championship at Hatboro Dog Club in Pennsylvania, after competing in the historic Morris and Essex show in New Jersey. Rowan polished off her GCHB 10 months later at 2.5 years old. She is currently working toward her Grand Champion Silver, DCAT (lure coursing), and scent work titles. Rowan will take time off in 2027 to whelp her first litter and hit the field.
Rowan has OFA Excellent hips, normal elbows, RCD4 (PRA) clear, CAER normal (eyes), and CCA clear by parentage (CHIC #214269). She is also an AKC Puppy of Achievement.
