Rake is the pick puppy from the Bridgerton litter, a repeat of the Y litter. We decided to repeat the lovely Y litter breeding, which produced 4 pups, in hopes of getting a male to show this time around (as we kept a female from the first litter). Rake was a standout from the beginning in both conformation and temperament. At only 5 weeks old, we knew he was going to be special.
This litter produced some exceptional males, but we ultimately chose Rake for his balance and beautiful front and rear angulation. As he has matured, he has certainly not disappointed! We are in love with this boys bone and substance and solid, level topline.
Rake earned his first major over a specialty weekend in Madison, Wisconsin, and his second major by way of Winners Dog/Best of Winners/Bred-by at the North Country Gordon Setter Specialty. He also earned Best in Sweepstakes in an impressive entry of young Gordons. Rake finished his championship in style at only 19 months old, taking Best of Breed from the classes (including over his big sister, Waverly).
