Belle, a.k.a. "Bee", "Bellie Banana", "Belladonna", "Bellie Bellie Bellie" and ... "Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound ... the black and tan cannon ball!"


Undoubtedly the hardest thing we've ever done is move Belle from the "Our Dogs" page to the "In Our Hearts" page.  She's everything Moonsetter, and without her, there would be no dogs on any of these web pages. 

 

Belle came to us from Timberlane Gordon Setters in Iowa.  When looking for another puppy, one to begin our own breeding program with, we chose a breeder whose own foundations were descendents of our first three Gordon Setters.  We were blessed to get pick puppy from the last litter at Timberlane, and virtually the last of a beautiful line of classic, dual-purpose Gordon Setters.

 

Belle is dam to the Moonsetter "A", "B" and "F" litters, and as our foundation, she has produced offspring with titles in both the breed ring and the field.  Two of her kids are Specialty winners, and she was just one champion away from becoming a GSCA "Top Producer".  Belle is OFA (hips) good.

The quintessential queen mum, Belle enjoyed raising puppies so much, she would often come in and help take care of litters that weren't hers! 

But, next to Chuck, the thing Belle really loves most is hunting!!

We know that somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge, she's on point...waiting for Chuck to come up alongside her, and down her bird :-)
